Caryopteris x clandonensis Kew Blue

Height: 0,5–0,6 m

Caryopteris Kew Blue is a deciduous shrub with a dense shoot system, growing to about 0.8-1 m in height and 0.6-0.8 m in width. Its leaves are aromatic, grayish-downy, sparsely serrated or with entire margins. Its flowers are small and bright blue, blooming in great numbers in late summer and early autumn, in inflorescences at the tips of the shoots. It attracts butterflies and bees. It likes a sunny, warm spot and well-structured, nutrient-rich soil. It is drought-resistant. Its water need is moderate. It is worth pruning it harder in spring to achieve a dense shape and more abundant flowering. It can be used as a standalone plant, but can also be planted in shrub groups.
